Hotel Babylon peels back the curtain on the service industry, where guests paying upwards of three hundred pounds per night are ready to leave their mundane lives behind and indulge in the lavishness. Here, film directors mingle with con artists, child stars dance with business magnates, and culinary geniuses converse with the glitterati. From weddings and Valentine's Day celebrations to fashion shows and film shoots, this place becomes a heady, hedonistic mix where anything can—and often does—occur.
In the first episode, as Sam Franklin (Harman) attempts to check into Hotel Babylon, he is oblivious to the fact that his ex-wife, Juliet (Wilson-Jones), has been assigned as a troubleshooter to either dismantle or revitalize the hotel. As the day progresses, unsettling events threaten the hotel's harmony, prompting Sam to take matters into his own hands. After a series of phone calls, Sam Franklin finds himself not only as a guest but as the new owner of Hotel Babylon, much to the chagrin of his ex-wife.
Series 4 promises a whirlwind of excitement with a Bollywood-style wedding, a celebrity magazine photoshoot, the presence of mobsters, and an array of guest stars. In the grand tradition of Hotel Babylon, it will keep audiences spellbound and entertained throughout the summer months.
