简介： Although inspired by the film, the series did not serve as a direct continuation. Instead, it was crafted to present itself as a depiction of the "real-life" scenarios that the film was based on. In the very first episode, Ferris Bueller, played by Schlatter, refers to the film, expressing his dissatisfaction with Matthew Broderick's portrayal of him, to the extent that he even destroys a full-sized cardboard effigy of Broderick using a chainsaw. Just like in the movie, the series centered around Ferris Bueller and his high school adventures, interwoven with his interactions with his sister Jeannie, played by Aniston, his friend Cameron, portrayed by Douglas, and his romantic interest Sloan, as interpreted by Dolenz.
