简介： Joel Fleishman has just graduated from medical college, only to find himself at the precipice of misfortune. Overlooking the meticulous details of his scholarship stipulations, he discovers that his only viable option is to relocate to the distant, and somewhat idiosyncratic, town of Cicely nestled in the untamed Alaskan wilderness. Upon his arrival, he is greeted by the town's quirky inhabitants, none more so than Maurice Minnifield, the retired NASA astronaut. Despite Joel's resolute assertions to the contrary, one can't help but get the sense that he relishes life in Cicely more than he is willing to acknowledge.
