简介： "Murder Most Horrid" is an engrossing British dark comedy anthology series featuring the talents of Dawn French. The series was showcased on BBC Two, spanning four captivating series from 1991 to 1999. Crafted by the creative Paul Smith, who also co-founded "Colin's Sandwich" alongside Terry Kyan, and has penned for esteemed programs such as "The Brittas Empire," the series showcased French in a diverse array of roles across its episodes. Notably, many of these episodes were helmed by the distinguished director Bob Spiers, who had previously collaborated with French on "The Comic Strip Presents..." and "French and Saunders."

The majority of the episodes cleverly parodied the thriller and murder mystery genres, with one particularly memorable episode satirizing the trials and tribulations of being a children's presenter, with a specific focus on the beloved "Blue Peter." In 1998, this episode, titled "Murder at Tea-Time," was revisited to commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Blue Peter," as part of a special segment called "Spoof Peter." This segment also featured, among other comedic treats, the iconic Python sketch "How to Do It."
