简介： "Street Sharks" is an American animated television series that centers on crime-fighting creatures with the distinctive traits of both men and sharks, reminiscent of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The show was crafted by DIC Entertainment during the years 1994 to 1995. In 1996, the Street Sharks joined forces with the Dino Vengers – an early, dramatically different version of the Extreme Dinosaurs – thereby evolving the series to "Street Sharks and the Dino Vengers." Similar to numerous children's cartoons, it was conceptualized to bolster an existing toy line from Mattel bearing the same name. This line was the brainchild of toy industry wizard David Siegel and the creative duo of Joe Galliani from Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions.

In the opening episode, a university professor, Dr. Paradigm, conducts experiments on a marlin and a lobster using his gene-altering techniques. Dr. Bolton, another professor, attempts to thwart Paradigm's endeavors and is metamorphosed into a grotesque monstrosity by the malevolent scientist before managing to escape. Following this, Paradigm abducts Bolton's four sons – John, Bobby, Coop, and Clint – and converts them into sharks. Immediately after their transformation, the brothers attack a hotdog stand, and then elude the police by diving into a lake and tunneling through the city's soil. Their plan is to apprehend Paradigm, compelling him to revert them to their human form and reveal the dark truths about his genetic experiments.

In the following episodes, Paradigm embarks on a mission to persuade the residents of Fission City that the Street Sharks, as they are now known, are ruthless, deadly predators who were altered by their father, Dr. Bolton. The brothers unite in every episode to thwart Paradigm and his deadly Seaviates from mutating the citizens of Fission City into mindless mutants.

A favored catchphrase of the characters is "Jawsome," and their favored fare includes hamburgers and french fries, though they possess the ability to consume virtually anything, even things that aren't conventional food. The brothers also express a distinct and vocal aversion to pizza, an indirect nod to the Ninja Turtles, whose iconic image is inextricably linked with the food.
