简介： In the current season, the series reverted to a weekly release schedule, each episode retaining its original hour-long runtime. The latter half of each episode was populated with selections from past seasons, as well as select prime-time specials that date back to the 1980s. The entirety of this season, combined with the latter half of season 6, can be found in the "Garfield and Friends: Volume 5" DVD collection. Notably, a fresh theme tune was introduced, composed by J.R. Johnston and Neil Panton, with the latter providing the vocals. This particular theme tune was not featured in the international broadcasts, and thus, it is absent from the DVD releases—although Garfield's catchphrases are preserved. The opening sequence for the season utilized a majority of clips from seasons 5-7, supplemented by a selection from the first two seasons, as well as content from "Garfield in Paradise" and "Garfield's Feline Fantasies." The practice of including the theme tune during the episode title cards ceased following the fourth episode of season seven; instead, music from within the episodes was utilized for the title sequences until the series concluded, despite the sixth season having previously employed music from some of its episodes.
