简介：
Licalsi was found guilty of the manslaughter of Marino and his driver, and was subsequently sentenced to two years in prison. Due to his involvement with Licalsi, and the belief that he had withheld evidence that could have resulted in a longer sentence for her, Kelly was transferred out of the 15th Precinct and ultimately chose to leave the department entirely. His position was then taken over by Bobby Simone, a widower who had previously served as the driver for the Police Commissioner. This arrangement was initially unsettling for Sipowicz, but over time, he came to accept his new partner. As his relationship with Sylvia progressed towards marriage, Sipowicz even asked Simone to serve as his best man.
Simone's life took a turn when he began a relationship with another new officer on the squad, Diane Russell, following an affair with a journalist who used information he provided in an article. Recognizing that Russell, like himself, struggled with personal issues, Sipowicz, who was still in recovery from alcoholism, encouraged her to seek help. After persistent prompting, Russell attended Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Meanwhile, Medavoy's relationship with Donna suffered a breakdown, largely due to the influence of Donna's visiting sister, compounded by Medavoy's lack of self-confidence in the possibility of a loving relationship with a woman like Donna.
