简介： The tranquil hamlets often conceal the most unsettling secrets within their walls. This narrative weaves the tumultuous bond between a young adolescent and his wayward elder sibling, depicted through an extensive sequence of flashbacks, framed by the encounter between the two after 15 years have passed. Edward, portrayed by Nick Stahl, finds himself as a youthful teen in a household left adrift by a father who deserted them years ago. Here, the mother (Susan Dey), having embraced Christian fundamentalism, has taken up with a self-righteous school principal (Sam Elliot). Amidst this backdrop, Edward grapples with the complex emotions he harbors for his brother, who is both beloved and feared, all the while battling to shield his family and others from the fury of his sibling.
