简介： Gina Dickson, a young mother hailing from Yorkshire, has successfully banished her abusive spouse from her life. However, to clear her mounting debts, she is compelled to turn to a loan shark. Despite her circumstances, Gina struggles to secure employment and finds herself without anyone to care for her children. It is here that she encounters Carol, a prostitute who imparts her knowledge of navigating "The Lane" to Gina, and subsequently introduces her to the sordid realms of deceit, patrons, and the law enforcement. Gina also befriends Carol's companions: Rose, an experienced hooker who wields authority over the district, and Tracey, a young fugitive ensnared by drug addiction and her procurer. Despite Carol's cautionary tales, Gina inadvertently encounters the grim realities that befall women who frequent "The Lane." In response, Carol and her confidants opt to abandon their perilous endeavors.
