简介： Should the unexpected arrive tomorrow, and the morning's newspaper were to arrive at your doorstep this very hour, what course of action would you take? What if you were to learn that your days were numbered? Would you seek fortune in love while shunning it in life? Such are the daily conundrums that Gary Hobson (portrayed by Kyle Chandler) grapples with. A former stockbroker, Gary has been dismissed from his employment and his wife has deemed him unengaging, leading to his eviction. It is a straightforward scenario. Each day, an orange feline arrives at Gary's threshold, delivering the newspaper (a copy of the Chicago Sun Times). The source of this peculiar delivery remains a mystery to Gary. After conducting some investigation, he discovered that a man named Lucis Snow, an elderly typesetter, had previously received the paper. It was on the day following Snow's demise that the paper began to appear at Gary's door. Gary maintains two close friendships. Chuck Fishman (played by Fisher Stevens), who has been a steadfast companion to Gary since their college days, desires Gary to share the scores of games, winning lottery numbers, stock market insights, or even advice on soap operas. Marrisa, Gary's visually impaired friend, assists him in making the most judicious decisions.
