简介： Returning to N-Space, the Doctor and Adric are called forth to the tranquil world of Traken, a realm renowned for its peace and harmony. The current Keeper of Traken is drawing near the close of his 1,000-year tenure, and one of the Traken consuls is poised to ascend to the role of the next Keeper. The Doctor, Adric, Tremas (the Keeper Nominee), and Nyssa (his daughter) embark on a mission to thwart the Melkur, a petrified entity that is deemed a "Source of Evil," as it seeks to annihilate the Traken Union. However, they later uncover that this menacing figure is but a mask worn by an old adversary of the Doctor—The Master. This formidable foe harbors a sinister plan to seize control of The Source (the very cornerstone of the Union) so that he may regenerate into a new, formidable form.
