简介： Lucy, accompanied by her trio of distinctly disparate friends, embarks on a visit to a mystic fortune teller. It is foretold that a marriage awaits her in the future. The author, Keyes, has expressed his fondness for this particular book, confessing, "I hold a special affection for Lucy Sullivan as a character. There's a considerable part of me reflected in her [...] I desired to chronicle the experiences of a singleton in London, who finds herself dating one boor after another, as that was indeed the trajectory of my own life. I encountered a peculiar culture of singleness, which I found to be quite humorous. Lucy may be prone to melancholy, yet she possesses a sharp wit, which is precisely why I cherish her."
