Each episode culminated in a dramatic scene where a white van careens to avoid a pedestrian, only to collide with a garden wall. Among the residents, some emerge unscathed, while others fare less fortuitously. A recurring motif in every episode is a red plastic bag that is carried away by the wind across the town, signifying that all the stories unfold concurrently. Notably, this is the sole series that does not feature a laugh track.
