简介： The tragic assassination of a 15-year-old youth sends shockwaves through the nation, as a Sikh schoolmate faces charges of murder. The trial, enveloped in a maelstrom of protests and media conjecture, assembles 12 jurors who are tasked with rendering a decision that the entire country eagerly awaits.

Among the jurors are: Charles, a young man who abandoned his seminary studies in pursuit of his lost love; Elsie, a solitary elderly woman who is nearing the end of her life; Johnny, a man in the process of overcoming alcoholism; Rose, a captivating woman whose husband has become delusional in the wake of a car accident; Jeremy, a former affluent family man who lost everything after being swindled by a friend in a dubious investment; Peter, who desires to be an upright and unbiased juror in the trial, yet is besieged by his wife's parents, who are eager to介入; and Marcia, a single mother who is compelled to reintegrate her mother into her life during the trial.

The victim, John Maher, was savagely stabbed twenty-eight times while on his way to school one morning. His classmate, Duvinder Singh, stands accused.
