简介：
"15 Storeys High," a British sitcom that first graced our screens in 2002, unfolds within the confines of a towering apartment block. The brainchild of the creative trio Sean Lock, Martin Trenaman, and Mark Lamarr, under the latter's pseudonym Mark Jones, this series was masterfully directed by Mark Nunneley.
The show's ensemble cast is led by Sean Lock, who portrayed Vince Clark—a reclusive, jaded misanthrope—and by Benedict Wong, who played Errol Spears, Vince's polar opposite and his perpetual whipping boy.
The sitcom originally aired on radio for two series, with a total of three if we include the "15 Minutes Of Misery" series that served as its precursor. This was followed by a television adaptation that spanned two series, with a grand total of 12 episodes, each running for 30 minutes. Notably, Mark Lamarr also contributed to the writing in the second television series. As of now, there are no plans for a third series, with Lock himself expressing his desire to create one, though he cited the BBC's reluctance as a hindrance.
In recognition of its directorial prowess, "15 Storeys High" was nominated for a BAFTA in the Best New Director category in 2003.
The series' origins can be traced back to BBC Radio 4, where its original format, "15 Minutes Of Misery," aired for six episodes in early 1999. This was succeeded by two series of "15 Storeys High," each featuring five half-hour episodes. A distinguishing feature of the radio version was its live studio audience, a stark contrast to the television adaptations.
It was not until 17th February 2007 that the second series was released on DVD, albeit as part of a two-disc set. The set includes bonus content such as commentaries by Phil Bowker, Mark Lamarr, Sean Lock, Mark Nunneley, and Martin Trenaman, as well as an engaging conversation between Sean Lock and Mark Lamarr, aptly titled 'Writing 15 Storeys.'
