简介： Season 2, Episode 16

In a dramatic twist, a man originally set for execution is unexpectedly killed prior to his scheduled execution. Monk, driven by his unyielding sense of justice, heads to the prison to assist in the matter. Yet, upon encountering the squalid conditions within the prison, and learning that his death would have been inevitable anyway, Monk is nearly dissuaded from staying. However, Dale "The Whale" Biderbeck, the murderer whose case Monk had meticulously unraveled, and who is also confined within the same penal institution, reaches out to Monk by phone. Biderbeck reveals that Monk is now a prime suspect, though Monk himself discerns that the motive attributed to him is insufficient to warrant such a heinous act. In a surprising turn of events, Monk agrees to solve the mystery in return for Biderbeck providing Monk with critical information about the murder of his wife.
