简介： The TARDIS lands on Androzani Minor, a celestial sanctuary renowned as the cradle of a miraculous longevity serum derived from the rare substance known as spectrox. The drug's production is meticulously manipulated by Sharaz Jek, a deranged individual with facial disfigurements who is in voluntary self-exile. He attributes all his tribulations to Morgus, a formidable industrial magnate based on Androzani Major, whom he holds responsible for his woes.

Jek wages a fierce rebellion against the government forces dispatched to seize the drug. His arsenal is clandestinely supplied by arms dealers hired by Morgus, with payments in refined spectrox flowing from Jek to his mastermind. This arrangement allows Morgus to amass a monopoly over the drug on Major.

In a captivating twist, Jek becomes smitten with Peri, the time-traveler. Together with the Doctor, they evade execution at the orders of Morgus and the government troops under the command of General Chellak. Their escape is contingent upon the discovery of a perilous diagnosis: they have been infected with spectrox toxemia, a lethal condition for which the sole cure lies in the milk of a queen bat, which the Doctor must retrieve from the treacherous depths of the Minor's caves. As Morgus senses his dominion unraveling, he dispatches himself to Minor.

In a gripping showdown, Morgus, Jek, and their soldiers are vanquished. In the nick of time, the Doctor manages to transport Peri back to the TARDIS, where he administers to her all the precious bat milk he has been able to gather. Her recovery is complete, yet the Doctor himself is forced to regenerate his body to preserve his own life.
